Graduation, formals and milestones are an applause, an end to a chapter—for a new one to bloom.
These sessions do not invite stiff portraits. They are about pride, and the newborn anticipation of the future and the beauty of hope.
My approach is to encourage true personality, with no performance while blending candid moments with natural direction. Formals do involve a little more direction but the aim is the same: calm in being yourself.
Who am I
I’m Katie, a Central Queensland formal photographer specialising in natural and elegant portrait sessions for school formals and graduation celebrations. Whether you’re in Rockhampton, Yeppoon or the surrounding CQ areas, I create relaxed sessions that capture personality beyond posing.

Can I include family?
In the Becoming package, this is included. We'll plan timing so everything feels relaxed.
What if it rains?
We'll communicate and offer flexibility. Your comfort and photos are a priority.
Where do sessions take place?
Popular locations include Yeppoon beaches, Rockhampton Botanic Gardens and private venues. I am open to discussion.
Can we do our photoshoot on our hair & makeup trial day?
Absolutely! This is actually recommended and encouraged so it is not a rush on graduation day.
How long until we recieve the photos?
Formal galleries are typically delivered 2 to 3 weeks after your session, with sneak peeks delivered earlier.
When should we book formal photos?
Ideally, as soon as you can, as spots are limited, but 4 weeks before your school formal date, at the latest.
Do you photograph groups?
Yes! Individual and small group sessions available.
